    Goodbye, L.E.K.

    老婆说当年她被bby拒掉的感觉非常难受。
    我又何尝不是呢,最心仪的公司已经把晋级机会拿走了。
     
    来不及感慨,只是一天内忽然接触了太多的现实。
    按照一贯慢热的我的行为,或许过些时间才会体现出情绪来。
     
    先感谢Alice,一路帮助一路建议,还一路提供最新的信息。
    总结下来有这么几点:
    1,我面试没问题,笔试同样没问题,中规中矩,没犯错同样也不出彩。
    2,面试官最后把我从一面的list中拿掉的原因是:他感觉我更适合做research而不是consulting,而这个感觉很难量化描述。
    3,面试官另一个理由是,如果放我进一面,同样也会在一面fail,不如现在就止步——有点奇怪,但是有逻辑性的推论。
    4,目前依然对于做了好多年research的人如何进入这家公司心存疑虑。
     
    anyhow,有一个结果总比吊着强。
     
    通过这件事情我明白的最大的道理是:
    对口——往往意味着,你在相关行业中获得了足够多的训练与经历,而这种经历会在买方市场上帮助你胜出。
    说白了就是,我之前所坚信的,“只要用我的成绩证明我足够聪明与优秀,就可以实现转行”,是经不起考验的。
    公司在有足够多的人选的时候,会倾向于雇佣一个有相关背景的人,而不会找个长跑的人来打篮球,仅仅是因为他体力好。
     
    我是不是太晚熟了点儿?

    面试官的逻辑,是狗咬尾巴团团转的逻辑。你做了五年research,如果还没有research的思维或者工作方法的话,那才是失败的。他的理由恰恰是你有很好适应性和可塑性的证据。

    关于对口,你说对了,那是圈子的准入证。
